Education
The RCD has been providing educational opportunities and resources to engage San Diego students in conservation and gardening for over 25 years. Our programs reach budding environmental stewards of all ages – from pre-school, elementary, and middle to high school.
Our programs for San Diego County schools and students include the following:
Watershed Education helps elementary school students learn simple actions they can take to keep our creeks, rivers, bays, and ocean clean. Learn more
We support gardens at schools across the county through providing information and resources to help them thrive. Learn more
We support schools to create pollinators, like monarch butterflies, crucial to our food supply and landscapes. Learn more
Awards $1,000 to seniors who are going on to college to study agriculture, conservation, or a related environmental field. Learn more
